Hi Katti,

You won't be able to verify your site unless you 'point' your A-record. At present you are using 'masked forwarding' which means your site sits within an HTML frame so Google is actually indexing the frame not your site. This is important as your site content which includes your meta data, verification code, sitemap etc are being ignored.

To correct this you will need to contact your domain name provider and ask them, unless you can do this yourself, to point your 'DNS A-record' to our web servers at 146.101.249.107. More on this is available in our FAQs.

Hi, I'm having difficulty verifying my website. I think the meta tag keeps ending up in the wrong place. I've tried them on the 'site information' panel & the page settings in sitemaker. I just get the message, 'we couldn't find the verification meta tag.' The site map I submitted has been accepted but unless I can verify I'm the official owner of my site Google's robots won't be able to index my site & consequently it won't get properly ranked. I'm working to promote an artist & raise their public profile so rankings are particularly important. Any help at all with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Gee,

The last release included an upload feature for the form. You just need to add the option when editing the form.

As far as shopping cart and seller tools are concerned, we are currently working on these, amongst many other things, so we hope to have something out late summer. probably September.

Hi Kieren,

Are you saying you cannot edit your site or you can't upload images? Also it would be useful to know what type of files you are uploading and what packages/applications you have used to create these files.

The best thing for us to resolve this quickly is for you to use the support form, after logging in to your site and give us some details about your site, the images, the applications you use and in the process we will also be able to see what Operating System you are using, the browser type and version, plus the version of Flash to see if this is causing any conflicts.

Gav, sorry about the delay in reply. We did have a minor glitch with the uploader but that was corrected fairly promptly.

Rids, we do provide an insite search although that relies on Google having indexed the site. We understand that an alternative version might be of use but it takes time to investigate our options, plan and develop. And we already have the next few months well booked up with development plans. But it's an idea we have spoken about and may re-consider at a later point.

Heath, both PNG and GIF files can now be used in images effects, crop tools etc. We'll take your comments on board about the transitions - effects and timings.

Hi Neil, if you have purchased a domain name through another provider, we won't for the minute be able to transfer it in to our service. We are currently working on this and hope to offer the transfer in shortly.

Paul, domain vouchers are added to your account. If you log in through the portal e.g. Moonfruit, you will see a domains section which should list your free voucher, depending on the package you have i.e. from Standard up.

Hi Peacemaker, you don't get a domain, but you do get a voucher to buy one. You certainly don't need it, but it is there if you wish to use it. Vouchers currently apply to purchase of new domains. But if you have any further queries please contact us using the query form on the support pages and give us more details about your account so that we get a clearer picture of your request.

Allessan, as above just log in through the portal and check the domains section, you should see a voucher in there. If you haven't then please submit a support query, give us details about your account and we can investigate for you. And yes it does depend on the package. Standard and Plus accounts get 1 voucher each, and Max gets two.

Hi Jeff, re transfer, you will be able to, but not yet. We're working on that functionality but it won't be ready until the next release (next month sometime).

As for the file upload on the forms (I presume that's what you mean), you can set this using the 'upload setup' button on the setup tab in the editor.

Couple of things

Have you moonfruiters seen the news about google being able to read SWF files and so on? I know we escaped this because of the design moonfruit has always had but will this affect the site design and rankings at all?

Hi Tom,
The Pop3 settings (e.g. for Outlook) are:
* Incoming server (POP or POP3): pop.yourdomain.tld
* Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.yourdomain.tld

So in your case you would use pop.timmyplanet.com (incoming) and smtp.timmyplanet.com (outgoing).

It will make a big difference to me and other creatives using moonfruit to express ourselves. I can do much more now and I'm sure my guests will appreciate it as well.
