Hi Chris,

You've certainly given us food for thought. Your comments were passed onto the technical team and we've discussed how to improve on this process. Obviously making changes would then affect those pages already ranked but we can find a solution for that as well.

This does require a bit more discussion to look at how easy or difficult this would be to implement, what implications this might have, and when this could be addressed.

Thanks for raising the query.

Correction/clarification on my last comment. The page name is visible in the URL but it is shown as all one word e.g. "www.mysite.com/websitepromotion" Search Engines will not rank this as highly as having separate words separated by "-" or "_" e.g. "www.mysite.com/website_promotion".
Putting "-" or "_" into my page names in SiteMaker is ugly because it then shows these in my menus and it still doesn't work for the URL. When I try and change the name of my page in SiteMaker the syntax "-" or "_" is removed when the name is put into the URL so it still reads as one long word.
How can I have a page URL in SiteMaker like "www.mysite.com/website_promotion" but still have my menus show the page name of "Website Promotion"?

Point 1 above says "Your URL (or address) of your page, e.g. www.joeslondontaxis.com, or www.joeslondontaxis.com/taxibooking, etc." How can I use SiteMaker to give my web page a meaningful name like "www.joeslondontaxis.com/taxibooking" currently it only displays numbers in the html version?

Keywords should be words or phrases separated by a comma, e.g. "london taxi, west london taxi, hammersmith taxi", etc. 2 or 3 word Keyword phrases may be better (unless you keyword is qutie obscure) as they will be more specific and less competitive. There's more on this in the next article.

When adding keywords to the site/page does it make a difference how you list them?
For example putting commas / full stops between each word, or on a new line etc.

Should be a week or so. I started writing it as one article, but it soon became very very big, so thought we'd break it down a bit. When it's done we'll produce it as a PDF download for the product as its something lots of people ask about. Glad you like it.
