I was finally able to get Juffs Roofing popping up on Google with some page 1 ...page 2's and a few a bit deeper. I am confident over time that this will get better....and I just checked MSN and they are 1st page now for many of the terms above. As for my other client 25 Hour Printing Service ... well it's going to take a little longer ..with the new domain and possible sandbox time... Links will be what wins the battle on that one. tough Industry.

So after looking up more terms on Yahoo - here is the final results. Even better
Remember if you check this on Yahoo and live in Europe or the US... the results
will vary since the Search Engines can tell via IP Adress etc.. where you are and
serve you results based on Geography.

But here locally...which is all my client cares about..

Check out http://landscaping.about.com/ they are one of the busiest site on the net and they are using the method I mentioned above with the | LINES | Landscaping |

60 characters is about the sweet spot and I counted theirs and they are at 60 exactly !

So I just finished building a site for a Roofing company here in Toronto. After only 2 weeks I have been able to achieve some great results Yahoo.com for the keywords

Toronto Roofing - #1 on page one
Roof Repair Toronto - #1 on page one
Toronto Roof Repair - #1 on page one
Thornhill Roofing - #2 on Page one

Try this format, also use keywords in your first 2 sentences on the site as well as your site and page descriptions. Go download "a free tool called "Good Keywords" and research your market or what you think are your keywords... you may be surprised.

Google will take me a bit longer but I will get my client on page 1.

Question for Moonfruit ? I notice the character length on the Site info for title tag seems a little short... I would love to get another 2-3 words in? Can you adjust this?

Guess this is to do with quality of links of the others or maybe Google's Keyword program?

I am also not getting listing in google and yahoo between top ten. by other key word my site (www.callcentersindia.com) ranking was No#1 but call center key word makes me worry. what i have to do.

Well looks like my site is now listed on Google and MSN after only 2 weeks, which surprised me. It also seems to rank quite well on some of the keywords. Looks like the inbound link from this site (which is reasonably well indexed) did the trick.

Here are my positions and the keywords:

west london taxis - number 24
west london taxi - number 19
hammersmith taxis - not listed

yahoo.com
not yet listed

joes london taxis - number 1
west london taxis - number 1

I may start getting some calls ;-)
