Hi Steve,

This month we've been doing some back-end work, bug fixes and continuing with some nice features we hope to have out around Christmas. So this month will be a somewhat low-key, compared to other months but we are working on providing some nice things for or around Christmas time. But we will elaborate a little more in a a few weeks about what to expect.

Hi Atlas,

It was a decision we made to enable the site leader full power to edit or delete posts. From the research our team did it appears that most forums are open to members only and you would hope that members would behave themselves. After all, if membership to a website is regarded as a 'desirable' objective, then loss of membership would be incentive enough not to post 'offensive' remarks.

At present it isn't something we will be changing. But thanks for you comments.

Hi San,

If the problem is only when the file has been downloaded to play (e.g. not in the jukebox player inside your site itself), then this is likely to be an issue on your computer. When the files are downloaded to play, they play in the native player on your PC, and not using any of the tools we provide. Can you confirm if they are playing at 2x speed in your site (using our Jukebox), or after you have downloaded them (on your PC)? Thanks,

Hi San,

The constant bit rate is part of the equation. Is the sampling rate correct? A multiple of 44.1 khz? If this is correct just reply to our response through the support query and tell us what page your juke box is on and we will check it out.

Walt
I did configure the file to "constant" not "variable" already. Is there a way it would play fine in the download style, but not in the jukebox? I don't understand how it can work for one type of insert and not another. Unless there is something wrong with MY jukebox (like I said this was my 3rd attempt to get support, but this problem is listed repeatedly on the forum page.) Any way I can get someone to check it out for me?

San ,

We checked our Support system and we see a post from you dated 22 hours ago. Normally we do try and respond with 24 hours. Our support system has been quite busy lately and we take them in order of age so we would have addressed your query as soon as we could.

The forum we generally leave for site owners/leaders to pass around information and advice amongst themselves and we only dip in to comment when necessary, quite often to ask customers to use the query form so that we can get more details about a problem.

With regards to MPs playing at the wrong speed this is usually down to the encoding rate being variable. The advice we have given in the past that has usually fixed this problem is this:

Files encoded using 'standard' MP3 format at CONSTANT bit rate will normally
play correctly, provided the sample rate is a multiple of 44.1kHz - other
'interpolating' sample rates cause Flash Player to speed up the playback.
Sample rates of 96000, 44100, 22050 and 11025 samples/second at 8, 16 and 32
bit depth will all work fine.

Go to this site for more info
http://www.draftlight.net/dnex/mp3p...

Let us know how you get on - and I will of course add this information to a reply to your support query.

I have over 30 sites with Moonfruit. Why are you so hard to contact? I have been having trouble withmy downloaded MP3's playing at double speed. I submitted a form over 2 days ago and have not gotten any response. This is our business too. I know other have this same problem from the Forum and NO solution has been posted.
