Your English is fine so please don't worry. At present recurring payments is not something we can provide directly through the site or our software however it does look possible through PayPal and their Subscription Button service. You can add the HTML Snippet Widget to a page, then go to PayPal's Subscribe Button page. Copy the code they provide and add it the HTML Snippet Widget using the set up tab. You will need to add the relevant data specific to your service and then save and test.

We don't permit FTP uploads. Our infrastructure doesn't permit it but I think you may find the PayPal subscribe button option - as outlined above - may do what you need it to do.

You can't do that with the login/join widget but many customer do use forms to capture that information then set up the user through membership. This also allows you to vet members before registering them.

So simply add a form onto a membership request page with the necessary fields so you get emailed those details.

Im working on a website, I need to know if theres a possible way to ask more details for a member in the sign up area? let say user name, name, telephone, address, fax and more detailed account like that?

I'm thinking of adding a members section to my site but want them to pay with recurring payments so was thinking if using cc bill. According to cc bil they install their system onto my server for me and to do this they request FTP information so they can have access.

Is this possible with moonfruit as to be honest I don't understand what it means.

Hi there and thank you ever so much.
Am new to all that,always have been good with machines and internet but not a connaisseur though i find it clear and easy here and English is not even My Mother tongue.
You really helped me but got questions abt paying members.How do you link your site to a secure way of paying for my members?How do you set an automatic renewal of the monthly fee?Is there any way to allow members to choose their own nickname/password/chosen address?
I do need your help once again and i know i will get some answers.

Hi Chris,

Can you give us more details on what you mean. We already offer a chat widget in our software but if you are referring to a specific product then let us know so we can better respond to your query. Although SiteMaker does not normally accept 3rd party software unless it is built as a SWF file and uploaded to the site.

Hi,
Thanks for the great work on the members pages, which are a very significant development for us. Is there any way to make the members pages available from the menu after login WITHOUT being indexed by search engines? Whilst the menu becomes visible for those who log in (perfect), I'd like to ensure that the members contents (address directories, minutes of meetings, message boards etc) are hidden from those who just happen to be searching on google. When I've tried to make the pages non-indexed I then have to also lose the menu option which is a shame. If I've missed something really obvious, please let me know as this is my first Sitebuilder site!

Hi Emre,

Having it play on another site is no guarantee it will work with SiteMaker. In our experience if the guidelines are followed the SWF will work. However, if you wish, contact support, highlight this problem and then attach the FLA and send it to us so we can inspect the file structure.

Well there isn't any problem im sure because I have tried it with a free host http://www.webstarts.com/e-designs and it is working perfectly, when I put the flash movie (SWF) on my site there is only one scene I have looked at all the requirments and there isn't any missing , everything is fine but when i put it on it just wouldn't play.

Hi SP, this is something we are working on at this very moment. It will, when complete allow you to nominate a specific page to redirect the member to once logged in. We won't be able to release this for a few weeks but it is on it's way with a few other updates and improvements.

Michael, I'm not quite sure what you mean by integrating a database. What the membership tools allow you to do is to simply capture a member's basic data, e.g. their email address when they join. This list or data can then be downloaded in CSV format. The tools also allow you to communicate to your members (or customers if that is what they are) individually, in groups or as an entire list by email through the interface. HTH.

Emre, I'm guessing you mean your own Flash movie/file rather than site. The details on what requirements are needed for building a Flash movie are posted in our FAQ. These must be followed for a movie (SWF) within our software. Sending us the SWF probably wouldn't help - although the FLA might as it can be opened and inspected. But we cannot guarantee a response time on finding a techie to look at it as they are busy working on new features. But please do check the requirements first as you may just have overlooked on key element - and in our experience, SWFs that don't work have failed to adhere to at least one of them. Thanks

I have created my own flash website but unfortanatley i cannot use it, it will not play how am i ment to use my own flash made project, i have exported it 2 an .swf but still it just shows one scene when there is a lot to it. I could send the .swf and you could take a close look at it. Thanks.

Hi Emre,

You can't embed PHP directly. As you would know our software is Flash, not HTML, so embedding any HTML, script or code into the Flash is impossible.

However, you are welcome to try the HTML Snippet widget which is available to upload to your site. Once set you could load an i-frame into the widget and insert your PHP script as long as the PHP source is on your own or an external server.

We do not guarantee this will work but you may wish to try it.

Hi Emre,

It looks like you are on a standard package which has a limit of 250MB. You are currently using about 24MB. If you need more disc space the only option is to upgrade your package. The next package offers 500MB. If you have any further questions about this just contact support through the Query form and they can advise on what is on offer.

You're right the old login panel used to do this, and we've got it flagged as an issue to fix in the future. In the meantime you can update their email for them in the members list by clicking the link next to their existing email. I hope that helps,

Just one question regarding this tutorial - I have had a few of my site members ask me about changing their eMail addresses once logged in. The old login (the pop up) use to let you change details such as passwords and email address. I am just wondering if we will see something similar to this when you login using the new widget.

Apart from that, brilliant tutorial.
