Hi Lyanba,

If you have a paid account, I'd suggest sending a Support ticket through so that we can take a look at this. If you're on a Free account, you can post on the forum instead, but a copy of the code will be required.

Thanks,

I'm trying to add a Wibiya toolbar to my Moonfruit site but it's not working very well. Wibiya says to copy and paste the generated code into your HTML template before the </body> tag. Obvius Moonfruit doesn't work like this so I tried pasting in to a HTML snippet but that doesn't work propoerly. Please ca you provide more information on how I can add this to my Moonfruit site and blog.
Thanks

is there a way on moonfruit to make the comments on blogs 'do follow' links where people can add web links to their name on the comment? this just brings people to the site looking for links and makes the website a bit more popular to google

The new account Im trying to do is on my friends email address so you wont have any record of the account as I cannot set one up. Nothing happens when I click launch account, its as if there's a fault with the box, no clicking sound happens to acknowledge that Ive clicked on the box.
Ive tried to do it using varius email addresses but nothing at all happens. I cannot exit the box either by clicking on the x. Yet the screen behind the box I can still scroll up and down on.

Hi Kaya (and anyone else who's interested), the easiest thing is to highlight a few steps.

1. If you sign up with the Fruitful Beta group on Facebook first

2. Then go to the Beta Blog site and click Join. Once you have logged in and joined the site you will find a Blog icon on your toolbar when you return to your site:

3. Please read all the current feedback and comments before posting your own or logging a bug or issue.

4. Please do not contact Support over this. Use the appropriate channels for feedback so that we can collate in one place and keep everyone informed.

And remember it is a beta version, it will initially be missing a few features and we are fixing bugs at present. But at least it will give you sense of what is due for release very very shortly.

Thanks.

As follow up to Sarah's post and in response to the queries about blog and e-commerce tools I would like to say we have posted in numerous locations and on our Forum regards updates on these. But I'm happy to re-iterate what has been said and respond to the other points.

Blog: This is in Beta and has been opened up to a group of users to provide feedback. This is the first time we've experimented with this but we took on board comments from customers about our release processes. This time round we invited a sizeable number of customers to assist us with testing and feedback which we have been collating for several weeks. We've begun refining the Blog in readiness for the General Release which is due in a few weeks.

Yes this has taken longer than expected but we wanted customers to get a chance to test, use and provide feedback before we went to the full release.

e-Commerce: Once the Blog is out on general release, and we are happy all bugs have been resolved then we will start work on the e-Commerce tools. This will take some months but as we have explained, last year was year of ensuring the platform could handle the new products the way we wanted to them to work. Not excuses but a fact of software development and some tough business decisions. As we have said often, we are also disappointed at not being able to deliver some things sooner. But we took a call to make our system, code and infrastructure more robust and risk deferring the e-Commerce tools. This was a hard but necessary decision to make.

But we feel, that once the blog is out, we'll have set the platform and processes in place to ensure quicker delivery of products. Though I would say we still will focus on delivery of stability and quality even if some functions or features come in later iterations.

Blog and Weddings: Well, while the developers carry on with coding the blog we still have a job to do with keeping the community spirit alive and the wedding was an opportunity to invite customers - new and old - to be creative.

Promises: While you may think our promises have been hollow we have in all good intention, felt that some projects like the long awaited e-Commerce would be delivered sooner. That wasn't to be the case as we realised we needed to make a lot of changes to support that type of feature. Whether you believe us (me) or not, we do feel this year is about delivery. We have obviously called on our customer's patience (especially many of the long serving ones) to the point where this year we must deliver. Yes, we understand that we have to reward that faith.

The blog will certainly be the start of this deliver year. Though we will update and add to it while the e-Commerce tools are in development. But we have grown our dev team significantly over the last 12 months so that we can do just this. Deliver.

We know a lot of our customers are frustrated and at the end of their tether. We hear it and we feel it. We have certainly earned some of the comments above. And all we can ask is a little more patience. I know that's a big ask.

Thanks,

Hey everyone,

We apologies for the temporary down time that we had on Thursday and the sites were back up and running as soon humanly possible. We did have status updates about the down time here: <a href= "http://status.sitemakerlive.com/pos...">Status Update</a>

All support requests were responded to both on Twitter, Facebook and the Support forum with regard to this issue during this down time and after with little lag.

Should you have issues with the site being slow or suspect a down time issue please do raise this with us in the support forum which you will find here and you will find the response time much quicker. You can find the support forum here: http://support.moonfruit.com/home

We were promised this year we will see lots of new features but we have hardly got anything good.

Hi all,

I second what the other guys said. I have been a customer of MF since late 2000. My business is relying on newsblog and other widgets like directory and calendar and these features have not been changed since the start of MF. It's frustrating but I hope MF can bring us what we have been waiting for ages now and I think they will. It's just a matter of time ;)

Cheers,

Just to add...

I've also been here from the early days (about 10 years or so now...)

What is most frustrating is we have a long list of scheduled changes we've been basing around promised release dates that have continually been moved back. This is having a detrimental effect on my businesses. I've stuck with MF all these years because I really believed they were committed to valuing existing customers above all else. Although MF have always had a small team, I believed them to be passionate about keeping us happy. This increasingly seems to be less important in their quest for increasing new customers and putting more resources into marketing and customer acquisition.

I'm both disheartened and disappointed about that.

Instead of posting about meaningless topics on the Royal Wedding (as nice as it was), I'm sure we would have all much preferred you put the time in on completing whatever is still outstanding with finishing the seemingly eternal testing on the ever-illusive blog!

I second the point about the e-commerce tools too.

You must understand that your hollow promises have kept a large number of your customers hanging on for these releases, trusting your word - only to find out time and time again, we've been let down. The key point here is, it is not just an emotional disappointment, this is negatively impacting our businesses while we all continue to pay you to sustain and grow YOUR business as each month goes by, as we wait. If these tools are not going to happen, just say so and allow us to look at other solutions.

Surely you see this situation isn't right?

Have to add my disappointment to the broken promise of the blog release. I also have to echo the comments above, particularly those of Bob and Fabrizio. When you've been here for many years (myself for 9), patience is now starting to run very thin.

To be honest this has now started to gripe me now, my domain runs out in 15 days time and I've also been hearing about blogs and ecommerce tools for the last year and a half. As much as I have loved using Moonfruit since 2004 I simply can't afford to wait any longer. I'm off to WordPress with my business websites after the weekend:(

Hi Leila,

Great to have u on Moonfruit team, I have been a customer of Moonfruit since 2001 and I like it but recently my moonfruit sites are getting slower and slower to load I think it has to do with the new toolbar. I have already submitted a ticket and i am waiting for an answer. I hope you can do something about this. Because my sites are popular especially TheAtlasLions.com but this slow loading is just chasing people away and is very frustrating.
