Happy New Year!!

So it's 2007, and we're all back at work looking forward to the challenges this year will bring. We've got a few things were working on for the first part of 2007, like a new shopping cart, and better domain name integration, but what would you like to see this year? What should 2007 bring for Moonfruit and it's customers. Let us know, and we'll see what we can do.

happy new year to moonfruit as well. I am very interested to see what certain moonfruiters would suggest to challenge moonfruit this year and speaking of challenging i have a few suggestions:
more affiliate buttons. an image and video format converter. a few new menus. i would like extra site addresses. google adsense referalls. Try and get some more HTML.
I know it sounds a lot :)
But please try and enhance my ideas. They may be very useful.
Hey criptor9, thanks for the comments. How many site addresses do you need ;-)
As for the HTML, there's always a limit to what we'll be able to do because of the Flash infrastructure, which is key to the easy editing. But if you have a specific thing in mind, we can often address that. It's a bit difficult to just do 'html'. But if you mean adding a specific tag or partner, like we did with Google AdSense, that's different. Let us know.
Happy New Year Moonfruit & co.!
Some great ideas from Criptor. What I would like to see is an upgrade to the Guestbook/Directory and Forum features.
I would like to see a better blog function and a seperare guestbook function and better forms.
I know theres probably no chance of this but RSS feeds would be nice too :)
If Moonfruit can get these three features I'll never leave!
Happy New Year to all Moonfruiters!
Happy new year for you all .
I would like to see moonfruit in Portuguese language .That was very nice .
Regards from a Moonfruit to all Moonfruiters !
To my fellow moonfruiters and siteleaders. I have been looking at the moonfruit wishlist and this mflounge post, everyone has very good enhancement ideas such as add more forms, add more extra pages such as guestbooks and hundreds more. What i see on a lot of website is the spelling (including mine), I think moonfruit should put the 'spell check' tool at the top of their enhancing list and start developing it, who agrees?
Now, my last post, site addresses, what i think is all paid packages should have unlimited or atleast 20. I think there is a few domain reseller websites which would love this.
i'll keep you posted if i come up with any other ideas.
thanks.

Happy new year to you all,
What I wish to see is a possiblity to post French in the blog/news widget and that site members will be able to post photos from my folder. What I also like to see is more affiliate possibilities, I have an account with Ebay but I cannot use it because of the java script which needs to be insert on the site. Also I need to have the possiblity to add more domains like 5 or something.
And last but not least a bettter forum and chatroom.
Thanks a lot, I have been with Moonfruit since early 2000.
There are two key things that I would like to see added. One mentioned above was RSS feeds. Right now, I have a separate Blog set up on Vox.com that I add to everytime I have a new article on my site. I am basically doing double the work only because they offer an RSS feed. This takes away from actual traffic to my site but I want to offer this feature to my readers.
Also, it would be great if readers could add comments to specific pages/articles. The current blog offering just doesn't work in the way I have my site set up. I think this would be a valuable tool because people would be interacting with my site, not just reading and leaving. If there is a way to add a comments section to a page that I don't know about, please let me know.
Thanks! Chris www.Thirsty13.com
I'd love to be able to group objects.
Happy New year, I'm very impressed with the Sitemaker Teams work in 06, all the new releases have been awesome.
My thoughts on taking Moonfruit to the next level:
1) Podcasting is the new media revolution thanks to I-Tunes and Adam Curry's Podshow.com + others. So with that said a dynamic Blogger style posting system (or scaled down CMS (Content Management System) tied into a RSS or XML Feed would be a big deal.
2) Non Sitemaker branded mailing list- I'll pay extra....please take away the opting in to join Sitemaker from the mailing list! It's non unreasonable to ask for a premium fee for a special product upgrade! I would have paid extra for the new video player but it was offered free.
3) Scrolling Text Box (I-Frame) that can input both text and photos (see for example http://macneilbmx.com/) I-Frames with both text and photos are very popular and help make a site look cool!
4) I would like a bit more info and guidelines on how to best make the new page background work- i cant quite get my new background tile for fit/stretch properly on this new page www.notoriousbyronious.com and www.byronsbike.com
Pocasting is gonna be huge, so don't miss that boat!
Just a thought and a pretty far fetched one- if Moonfuit did a joint venture with Xara- you two would rule the website building world. Xara is a simple and easy to use Vector and Flash based graphics program ,its like Photo Shop but easier to use and without the big learning curve. Both Moonfruit and Xara are based in the UK.
Hats off the The Sitemake Team for a great job!
Best regards,
Byronious
One more thing- rounded corners on the page BG like the top of this page.
Happy new year to everyone involved with Moonfruit. The thing I most like to see in 2007? More menu styles, please.
the news/directory/calander pages are in desperate need of an overhaul
A fantastic second half of 2006 Moonfruit!
Fantasy Feature: - A site restore, to how the site looked a day/week/month ago, intergrated into the Sitemaker tool.
Realistic Feature: - New forum and news pages - a proper blog tool like this site.
Nice and simple - radio buttons and tick boxes for the forms so that people can easily make sections without having to type it in.
Also scrolling text box with inages in it. Perfect for a news page etc.
Thanks
I would really like the ability to copy an entire site i have allready created in moonfruit. so that it becomes almost a template i can use to make my other sites.
thank you.. you guys rock
Good comments guys. Kekefan and Kerri, the site restore and site copy features are related. We've been looking into those, which should be possible, but there's no current timeframe for them. And John, you're right those features are in need of an overhaul and should get them this year.
Hi again, I have loads of ideas to share with moonfruiters now. I see more people have displayed some fantastic ideas, so here are the ideas:
sitepal (i think this would be an excellent feature) an inside site "blogger" page.
Video enhancements: possibly some tv channels added to the video folder (it does look a bit empty)
More gradients.
Image tools: more slideshow layouts.
extended menu choice
Paypal: try and give an option to add postage and packing
more affiliate buttons.
an image and video format converter.
Spell check tool.
try and organise the "my files" and give us the access to make new folders.
and last but not least,
account enhancments: please in the extras part of the account put some affiliate sites there or some more moonfruit extras.
As you can see i have been thinking. Please could moonfruit release some of these ideas.
So thats it for now, cant wait for the new year update (if there is one, is there?).
Anyway i will leave moonfruit with these ideas.
thanks.

Moonfruit is excellent - I love it; here are some suggestions for a few helpful additions if possible:
(1) an undo last move facilty
(2) simplify the file manager library so that it is easier to find things such as "fly" (the animated fly) ....instead of it coming under "THE fly" can it be under "fly"....there are items I know exist and wish to reuse and have difficulty finding again...basically, could you make it idiot proof because it will allow easier location of features
(3) Add a "my favourites" folder similar to the "our favourites" to allow easy retrieval of often used library elements which would assist in (2) above
(4) When you press "delete" on the keyboard - a recent enhancement, it would be useful if you chould then hit "y" for yes rather than having to scroll back up the page to click yes with the mouse and perhaps could we hold the control key down to select several items to delete at once
(5) ALL Animations could come under the animation file...some don't and you have to select "all" to find them again
(6) Google ads - could we have more control over where we place them on the site - so that design ability is not restricted - a custom selection that allows for a box to be placed where you want it to appear on your site in which the google ads appear (it works for google search so it is hopefully possible for google ads) and could we add more placings than only two? If you add google ads in a wide skyscraper for example - and the site has long pages, there is room to continue with a second skyscraper below the first yet no option to add it?
(7) Would it be possible to allow us to rotate the tubes menu so that the page titles can be read more easily - i.e. so the text is horizontal rather than vertical (a user said it is annoying reading the menu sideways yet they loved the colourful tube menu) please see http://www.skullhead.moonfruit.com for an example of what I mean here - thanks
(8) Finally, what about a copy page facility in the organize pages section that defaults to hide to allow you to copy a page, work on it, then make it visible once finished?
Hope some of these are possible and I wish you a Happy New Year & continued success to all at moonfruit and all moonfruit users
Thanks & best wishes,
Paul
a better file management system- it make things difficult with only one file to store all our website images.
A Multiple highlight and drag feature will be good!

i have for a couple of months now been getting loads of visitors from france. Would it be possible to get a translator tool for our websites?
We need an internal search bar for our websites, my website is useless with out a search bar.
Thanks :D
Yep, I'd really like to see a group selected items feature as in powerpoint and tick boxes in forms
is there any way please moonfruit that my site members can have there own files to upload too?? i have given page permissions to certain groups to add a picture, but it ends up in my main files, if it's possible can we have a system where a seperate file can be created and that certain member can have there images stored in there? also to allow them to delete there own file.
I run a community site, i see other sites have an instant message feature and an 'add friends' list, i don't mind paying extra for it, but how is it that other sites can have all this and moonfruit doesn't give that option? is it impossible?? you offer 'chat' so a message feature would be similar, please look into this!! also the blogs and chat features all look extremely dated!! you done great in 2006, lets see some up to date improvements for all of us customers, please!!!!! thanks, jay
E-mail service!
I'd love at least to be able to have my domain name and my e-mail match.
Can't moonfruit provide basic e-mail services?
Hi all,
I am new to this so I am not sure if you can already, but can you alter the size of seperate web pages, and not the whole site?
Regards,
Lee
Yes you can Lee. You do this by clicking Edit -> Page Settings and then choosing the Page Length tab. On that panel you can choose the length of your page. The length is only applied to the current page visible.
Ossie
i have given page permissions to certain groups to add a picture, but it ends up in my main files, if it's possible can we have a system where a seperate file can be created and that certain member can have there images stored in there?
This is something we have been considering for sometime. It is not a simple task to refactor the database and how the File Manager operates so we chose to invest time and resources into features and projects that would provide more immediate reward to our customers. That said, we still would like to make improvements to the File Manager to enable more flexibility but that still requires much discussion.
