We thought we'd kick of 2007 with the software equivalent of New Year resolutions - bug fixes! You could also call these Valentine bug fixes, but that's pushing it a little...So this release has less of the new stuff, and more of the old stuff working better. We've also been working on some tools behind the scenes that will pave the way for the next generation of widgets, but these won't appear until our March release. And the launch of moonfruit.fr should be just around the corner...
So here's a summary of the changes in this release;
New stuff:
- New templates during the build process, particularly for business customers
- New page templates for 'add a page'
- New PDF download for font picker
- Improvements to Flash detection/alternative content for sites
- New FAQs: Google, PayPal, Keyboard Shortcuts
Bug fixes:
- Video player now displays the video controls by default
- FavIcon selection now less picky – variations in size now permitted
- Improved management of page permissions
- Page settings cannot be changed while editing the page master
- Pages are now created with the correct ‘visibility’ flag
- Popup gallery now closes correctly when changing pages
- The jukebox player will continue to play when viewing a slide show
- Improved tabbing in ‘Admin Panel’ on ‘Site Information’ tab
- Video player now gives feed back if the requested video can't be found
- Logging in as another user from the toolbar now refreshes the page so correct user is identified
- When editing text in a panel, use of 'Del' will only delete the selected text, and not the object
- Links have been disabled on Jukeboxes to provide correct operation
- Tabbing now works on all forms
- Support pages (Submit a query) now working again in all browsers
- Membership questions now show all text instead of 'defaultValue' when question runs to two lines
- ‘Cancel’ button now added to "Join this site" for non-members
- Hidden ‘Multiple File Upload’ button now visible in all conditions for Internet Explorer

Good idea. Checking back and tidying up the whole thing is timed just right. Don't listen to anyone screaming because of the lack of widgets. Housekeeping is very important. Looking forward to more stuff in 2007 though!!

The update this month was quite good, i'm pleased with the bug fixes but i am especially pleased with the new templates. Now our sites should be more organised.
I will tell you all the things that should be added to our moonfruit library:
Sitepal - For professional websites.
Spell check - Believe me i think we need this.
Extended choice of horizontal menus - My site needs this.
Horizontal menus folder - At the bottom on some text menus it says beta for the picture.
Resizing objects - Photoshop can make the image bigger and still contain its pixels,
can moonfruit do that?
Built in adobe stock photos - Get rid of the images folder and put adobe stock photos there.
video full screen - if people want the video maximized i think we should let them.
Buy more megabytes - I dont need this but i see in the wishlist people wanting this.
Rollover images access - I think this will be really cool if moonfruit could put like a transparent border around our images when we rollover them (could be an image tool).
Console addicts - give these an xbox, ps3 or ps2 etc. design for their sites.
Finally, flash intros - good idea to have on our websites huh?
Moonfruit please make some of these ideas real.

Any word on when the March updates release will happen?
Not until early April. We aim to do releases every 4-6 weeks, so it really depends on what type of work we're doing and whether we can fit it into 4 weeks or need 6. This one's more of a 6 week block.

Hi, until recently I had a link (via a link button) to a PDF file i had uploaded. I just tried the link and it doesn't work now - just opens another full copy of the website - can anyone help. Have bug fixes changed the settings with PDF files?
