Flash and Vista bug: with Internet Explorer and Vista, text entry in Flash drops keystrokes - solution!
Some of you new vista users may have noticed problems with text entry in Flash, which will have affected your SiteMaker site. This is due to a general problem with the Flash player and Internet Explorer, which Adobe have now fixed. There is a new version of the Flash player that fixes this issue for IE users on Vista, which is not yet on general release, but can be downloaded and installed from their pre-release site. When Adobe release it in full it will be pushed out by them to all customers, but if you want to upgrade ahead of the game, read on.
This issue only affects users of Microsoft Vista and Internet Explorer. If you use XP or Firefox or a Max, don't worry about it ;-)
How to fix it
This problem has now been fixed by Adobe in the latest version of the Flash player, so please download it here;

And that should be that. Let us know if you still have any problems.

I am starting to have my doubts as well I work all week and weekends is the only time I get to work and update my website yet again it is down what has happined to Moonfruit of late i realise at atimes problems happen but this seems to have gone on and on for weeks now
maybe they should stop given all the free websites away maybe the system can not cope with much more demand and traffic !im fed up
As much as I love Moonfruit, I'm also getting really fed up with the reliability. I thought all the problems had been ironed out and the service was back to normal and to be fair it's been absolutely fine the last few weeks. Really disappointed with tonight's downtime though :o(
hi
i am also having trouble with this, and so are my CUSTOMERS!!!!!!! when you use your website for business, its a pain in the rear-end when your own customers cannot access your website.
WHEN WILL THIS PROBLEM BE SORTED OUT????

We had a small restriction in service on Friday night from 18:00 until almost midnight. This was not an outage but did limit access to sites for some users. All our systems and servers checked out perfectly and we suspect our network provider to be the culprit. We are still waiting for full details of their analysis from them.
There is currently (and has not been since late Friday night) any problems with the network, our servers or access.
Should you be experiencing any problems please use our Support Query form and provide us with details as this will help us look specifically at your site and your system set-up to establish if or what problems exist.
As a foot note: We have implemented some procedures since the last outage over 5 weeks ago that have ensured a more robust service - as far as our own infrastructure is concerned. However, issues outside our control still require attention so that the entire service is more reliable. But we are working on this.
vista/moonfruit keystroke problem - have installed new flash player as above but still have the same problem. any more ideas?
Hi Sue, that's odd, this has fixed that problem with all other users. It might be worth restarting the browser (and possibly PC) just to be sure the new settings have been picked up correctly. If that doesn't work, I would remove the Flash player again, reinstall it again from the above link, just to be sure it worked correctly. Let me know how you get on. Thanks, Joe
