New Release - 8 Feb 2008
By Joe on Friday, February 8 2008, 11:51 - Release notes - Permalink
It's the first release of the year! Hurray! And hopefully a good one too. We've got a few big changes to site navigation, some edit improvements and some bug fixes/enhancements. Details below.
So the new features are:
- Updating page URLs and bookmarking
- Undo/redo (for moves and scales)
- SEO improvements (page title changes)
- Forum improvements
Bug fixes;
- Kewego videos work again
- Thumbnail generation improved for galleries
Updating page URLs and bookmarking
When you navigate your site, the URL (web address) in the browser will now update to show the address of the page you are on. This means you can now bookmark any page in your site, or email a link to someone so they can jump straight to a page. We published a whole article on this last month, so full details are here.
Undo/redo (for moves and scales)
We've now introduced undo and redo functions for certain edit features in your site. This means that whenever you move or scale objects (either single objects or in multiple selection) you can now undo/redo those changes. This is particularly useful for when you move something by accident. The current undo will not undo certain other actions, e.g. object deletion, text edits or colour changes, but we may be able to introduce some of these features in the future. This has been a big project and there is a lot happening under the hood, so to speak, even if with just moving or resizing objects. So at times it may take a few clicks for you to see visible undo or redo actions occurring. Have a play and let us know what you think, we think it will be a useful new addition!
SEO improvements (page title changes)
Just to prove we do actually listen, we got lots of feedback that the 'Page title' field that we set in the HTML for your site was too short at 50 characters, so we've increased the amount of text available to 120 characters. Apparently Google will only use the first 66 characters of the page title in its indexing, but Yahoo will use up to 120. So the thing to do is write a single title that has a useful message/keywords in the first 66 characters and further detail up to the 120 limit.
Forum improvements
We've made a few minor changes to the forum. These are the introduction of 'move topic' which means you can now move topics to other subjects if they are posted incorrectly. And navigation improvements which allow you to jump to the first/last post of a topic. We've also fixed a couple of bugs, for example you couldn't post a reply if you found a topic via the search function and when you did reply to post you got returned to the first page.
Bug fixes
Firstly, Kewego videos should now work again following a change to the way that they posted the video source. And secondly, we have changed the way that thumbnails are produced which should improve the quality of thumbnails in the galleries. Please note that for the thumbnails to improve you will need to (delete and then) re-upload your images, e.g. the current thumbnail will not change, only new ones will use the new conversion process.
We also updated the robots.txt file so that customers using Google Verify should no longer see the '403 - Forbidden' error message, although please bear in mind this may take Google from a few days to a few weeks to re index your site and pick up the change.
And that's about it for you.
Coming soon
- Domain names (finally!)
- File manager changes

Hello there
Great news. Only bad thing we can't access any more our moonfruit sites via official domain name addresses.
Whats wrong?
Thanks
Tom and Elle
Hi Tom, this was a temporary error with the release that made 'masked domain names' not work. However, this does hightlight that you are using a masked domain, which you should not do!! When you use a masked domain it means your site is forwarded in an empty frame set, empty means there is no content associated with your domain name, whcih means you will not get well indexed by search engines.
Instead of this you need to set your domain up to use IP pointing, which you do by asking your domain name provider to change your DNS A record to 146.101.249.107 and then add your domain name to the list of addresses associated with your site in the 'site addresses' tab of 'admin'. If they will not do this, you either need to change domain provider, or use a service like www.zoneedit.com which provides you with a flexible nameserver.
If they ask you to change your nameserver, don't do it. A nameserver is like an address book, whereas we want you to change the DNS A record, which is an address; you don't need a new address book when you change your address!!.
This is quite important to do as it will improve your search rankings very much. Masked forwarding is the work of the devil! don't do it! Good luck,
Joe
Hi Joe,
Greate release with the forum improvements, undo/redo features and the url updates brilliant !!
Just some info on the domain names. Are they going to be free with moonfruit accounts ? how many do we get if they are free are they going to correspond with the accounts E.G. 1 free, 5 free and unlimted.
Thanks
Scott
Great to hear of the updates, unfortunately unable to login into the website to make any changes, please advise or any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Tina
Hello
Have still been trying to login, have restarted pc, cleared old cookies, ctrl @ F5 and still unable to login, the message at the bottom right hand corner states welcome guest/ login, instead of my user name etc.
Please advise what is wrong!!!
Thank You
Hi Tina, do you mean that even if you go to http://www.firstholycommunionday.co... and login again, it stil doesn't recognise you? If so please submit a support ticket and we'll investigate. Many thanks, Joe
And Scott, when we add domains we will bundle them with some packs, but given domain names cost money for each one, we can't bundle too many without affecting prices. So there certainly won't be an unlimited option ;-) Thanks, Joe
Hi there all good stuff, but bit confussed what is classed as page title.where do i find this in tools menu.
Hi David, you can find the page title field in the 'page settings' panel under the edit menu. It's the page title that is used in the HTML and often displayed by the browser at the top of the page. It is also used by search engines as part of their assessment of your pages. I hope that helps, Joe
Hi Joe, yes I would expect it will not allow me to login, under my username, which I have not changed, and was able to use when logged into my website last night and the last two years.
How can I submit a support ticket.. this is very frustrating
Hi Tina, I've sent you an email, please reply to me and we'll get it sorted. Thanks, Joe
Hello Joe
Ok have just tried logging in again, and still signs my username in as a Guest, tried signing in under anther username and advised me that username or password was unsuccessful, so username and password must me correct but is signing me in as a guest without any editing or updating facilities, unable to login via moonfruit to submit a support ticket as does not recognise username or password.
Please advise a.s.a.p as I really need to do some updates on the website.
Hi Joe
Thanks for the info... I did guess there wouldnt be an unlimited option buh a moonfruiter can wish lol
Scott
Hello Joe
Have not received e-mail, so will wait for a little while longer please confirm that you are sending e-mail to above e-mail address sent with this comment
Hi Tina, ok we've identified a problem. The login is not being set correctly on your own domain, if you login at firstholycommunionday.webeden.co.uk it will work. We will fix this ASAP for your domain. Thanks, Joe
Joe,
I have exactly the same problem as Tina and have had lots of communication through the support ticket but still I can'y log in and I've tried everything.. caches cleared, cookies deleted ctrl and F5.. moonfruit.com instead of our .co.uk site. We've uninstalled interent explorer and put firefox on this afternoon.. NOTHING WORKS! HELP!!
Bernadette
Hi Bernadette,
There is still a problem with logging in through you own domain name. It should work if you use the original address photabulous.moonfruit.com. Please let me know if this still doesn't work. Thanks,
Joe
It still does'nt work Joe.. nothing I've tried today works at all!
I can't even get in on the Account page on Moonfruit as the page will not load.
Bernadette
Hey guys,
Nice update. One problem i've noticed since the update is that it keeps switching me to "Advanced view" when editing my site. I have always used the Basic View in the past.
cheers,
John
Hi Bernadette, I've sent you an email with some further details. Can you take a look? Thanks, Joe
We're released a fix for the "not being able to login via your own domain name" bug. Let us know if there's anything else! (how we all love live software!) Have a great weekend, Joe
Nice work guys! I love the updates as always. They keep getting better.
I have one question and I apologize if it was already answered. I am having trouble understanding the whole masked Domain thing you mentioned in the second post. I am pretty sure I did the DNS A record thing with GoDaddy. So my question basically is, will you still see an updating page URL on your site if you are using a purchased Domain name or does this only work with the original Moonfruit address? I checked it out and it appeared that www.thirsty13.com does not update when navigating through the site. I am curious if I did something wrong or if purchased Domain names will not work in the same way.
Thanks for the help!
Joe you are a man of your word - great to see the SEO & URL improvements in place.
I am not sure if there is glitch in the upgrade though as every time I adjust a page length now it does not return me to the page to continue editing but logs me out. So far this has proven to be a quite tedious process as I have had a few such page length adjustments to make and I have had to log in again each time.
many thanks
Justin
Brilliant, excellent stuff Joe and the Team. Demonstrates real commitment to all of us. Please don't just ever get bought-out and then it all goes down the pan one day.
Right now - Moonfruit is almost too good to be true.
Arif (a Moonfruit user of several years)
love the new improvents on all but 1 little snag if you change the page size it logs you out of the site and you have to go back to moonfruit.com apart from that just so loving Moonfruit :-)
good to finally have different url's for different pages!
i am pointing my domain name i.e www.innatdelhi.com by changing the DNS A record to 146.101.249.107 - but it is not being recognized. therefore i have to use masked forward.
can something be done about it? i have added the domain to add your domain name to the list of addresses associated with your site in the 'site addresses' tab of 'admin'.
it is not working - do i have to open a suport ticket?
hi - i have noticed that in the url - there is an associated number - is that necessary ? will it be removed in the future?
Hi folks,
DJRYB13: I've checked our system and your site is pointing perfectly. And all your pages are updating as expected with the full address. Perhaps the changes you made finally kicked in but it all looks good from what I can see.
Justin: Hi, yes that is a strange one. I've tested on other sites and it doesn't happen but I can see what you mean on yours. We will have a look at this on Monday and see if we can find a fix for this asap.
Arif: Thanks for your comments.
Andy: Yep, see comments to Justin above, we will get this fixed asap.
Melgreen: Pointing your A-record is never instant. But if you set it up, masking will still persist until the Pointing changes kick in. When you say: 'not being recognised' what specifically do you mean? And what domain name provider are you using? Normally, I'd suggest raising a ticket just so that we can track the issue but for the moment I'm happy to use the blog.
Edoctor: Yes the number is necessary. It provides a unique page ID number for each page, even when pages have the same name. This is not so unusual, for example the BBC use this to identify their articles and many pages.
Have a good weekend one and all, and we'll look at the page resize - logging out issue first thing Monday.
Walt
Hi Joe,
Don't know if this is a coincidence or if other MF users are having the same problem; but I have found that since the Updating page URLs and bookmarking upgrade, sometimes when working on a page and we click 'save' the Firefox browser just freezes up and we have to re-boot the PC to get it back again.
This doesn't seem to be a problem in IE browsers, but we are rather fond of Firefox and tend to use that for a whole number of reasons.
When this happens, it would appear that the save is actually completed on most occasions, but it is a real drag having to reboot so often.
Could you look into this for us please?
Regards,
Tippa
Hi Joe and Walt,
The not being able to log in and edit our websites has snowballed. Take a look at the forum under General and Help needed from site leaders. I'm now in Day 8 of not being able to edit properly. The site pages are only partially loading also and i did mange to successfully update one page, but then it would not let me edit other pages.
Reboots, clearing caches, etc do not work.. myself and others cannot even access the account page on this site as it will not load. Seems as if many of us are experiencing serious problems now. Hope you can sort this out on Monday. Thanks for everything you've tried so far for me.
Bernadette
I have linked my Counters to Login Panels and cannot login to any of my sites. I have to go to the Moonfruit Home Page and login there
Hi Bernadette, it may be that you are experiencing a different problem not releated to the release as you say it's been going on for 8 days (the release was only yesterday). We'll continue to follow this up with you on Monday.
Hi Paul, you can always login to the site by going to /login at the end of your site address. I hope that helps,
Joe
Sorry Joe - adding the /login at the end of the URL does not work either - after adding login and password etc the page does refresh but none of the Editing Tools appear.
Hi Joe & Co.
We can'T load up pictures on our sites. There is always a fault sign coming up.
Message : 414 Request-URI Too Large
Please help!
Thanks
Tom
Hi Paul,
Have you tried logging in with both the site.moonfruit.com address and your own domain? There was a problem with own domains, but this should have been resovled.
Hi Tom, we'll take a look at that, can you submit a support request, and include an example file you are trying to upload? Thanks,
Joe
Joe
The problems are mounting - When I edit a page within the Organise Page Menu and then save the page is refreshing back to the page before I login. When I login again - still from the moonfruit site the page I edited is still there.
It seems that when the pages are refreshing after a save it is logging me out.
Hi Joe
I am the same ...you might rember the problems I was having over a week ago and its been up and down since, The pages dont load fully, sometimes never, I am having to clear the cashe down all the time.
I have been reading all the posts and something must have caused this to happen, I have never had a problem with my site until 1-2 weeks ago and since then my site must have been down for most of that time, Sometimes I get on and can not log in to edit anything...It as if its not fully loading...
Please Help ... I have sent another ticket.
Many Thanks again
Peter
Hi Joe, Walt,
I've submitted a query for the following, which may be a side-effect of the latest Update. Can you help here please (general fix perhaps), or does the query need to be addressed separately?
"Hi! Please help. I've been trying to edit my website. Yesterday I noticed that when I checked out my Google Analytics (from the Edit, Admin menus options), I was thrown out of edit mode. Today, I created a page on my website and, when I clicked Apply (resulting in the usual screen refresh), I was thrown out of Edit mode again. This may happen when I do other things in Edit mode. I don't know if that's the case yet as I'm only starting some proper editing this minute. Basically, it looks like I'm being logged out, and this is a pain in the ***. I'm going to continue attempting to edit my site tonight, as I need to. I hope my editing will be saved when you fix this problem. Thanks. LavenderofPilat.".
hi guys - i figured out a way to log in to my sites - go to moonfruit.com and then log in - go to your sites and edit them just as normal. this works only in IE - haven't been able to do it in firefox - hope this helps - i am able to edit all of my sites this way
Hi Paul and Lavendar, can you give us the URLs of the sites that you are experiencing this with. And tell us whether you are using your own URL or the site.moonfruit.com URL?
Hi Pete, if your problem has been going on 1-2 weeks, then it won't be the same as the issues caused by our release. We'll need to continue to look at this separately, but I can assure you that your site has been live for all of this period. Thanks,
Joe
Hi Guys,
I had that problem with the login as well with both the 3rd party domain name and the moonfruit given one - I managed to get it fixed.
If your using a Mac like me, simply Reset your browser and have your settings - accepting cookies. When you are about to login.
If your not sure how to do that - Go to Safari - Preferences - Security - (Locate Cookies option - once found, click only from sites which i navigate.
This will fix the problem up.
If it persists try a different broswer to see if thats giving you problems.
Hope that helps!
Matt
HI Matt
Thanx for sharing that - I use a Mac too but use Firefox.
Editing is happening however everytime I add a new page and save the site refreshes and the edit tools disappear.
Seems to be a Firefox issue
Just used Flock without any problem at all.
Hi Joe, I am have the same problems as most people om here with my site opening then not openeing, then when I try and edit it will not load or close down...Something is wrong with it and it has only started to hapen in the last 2 weeks .. Pete
Hi Pete,
Its Day 8 for me having the same probs as yourself. Add to that the fact that I cannot access the account page to log in on this moonfruit site either. Seems as if the timekline is in the past 2 weeks when things started to occur as other people on the forum are reporting the same thing. I use IE, but tried Firefox and that did'nt do the trick either. Yesterday I managed to edit one page of the site but then it would'nt save and logged me out. I have tried to edit 2 pages and when I click on the 2nd page to edit it comes up blank and unloaded and does'nt save the edit of the 1st page.
Seems as if these problems are all similar.. hope we can get things sorted today!
Additionally to my dismay I am now unable to access the Moonfruit forum as now that page along with the account page on this site will not load either. Is it something to do with the new URL for each page of our site changes I wonder?
Bernadette
Hi Pete & Bernadette, the problem that you guys are experiencing is not caused by the same thing (the release) as everyone else. Because it has been going on since way before the release. We'll need to follow this one up separately.
Everyone else, we've identified a problem with our session cookie (which keeps you logged in during an edit session). When you login, if you click 'remember me' they you won't experience the same logout problems. We're working on a fix that will allow you to keep this flag off and still use the tool normally. Thanks,
Joe
Joe
Thats ok if your sites have similar logins - each of my sites has seperate logins I therefore
have to log out and then attempt to login again
Oh Sweet!!! It is working now! This Rocks!!
It was not working on my specific computer and browsers but I checked it on another computer and it was showing unique URL's. Do I need to clear my cache or something in order to see it on my computer? It just seems weird that it worked elsewhere.
Thanks again!
Hi DJRYB13,
Your domain name http://www.thirsty13.com/ uses masked forwarding, which means you will not see the change. Masked forwarding is generally very bad, as it uses an empty frame set to display your site, e.g there is no content in it meaning that you will not be well indexed by search engines. You should change to IP pointing, buy changing your DNS A record to point to our IP address which is 146.101.249.107. Once you do this your site will work correctly with the new page addresses and you will be correctly indexed by search engines. I hope that helps,
Joe
Hi Joe,
Now I am confused. Walt told me above "DJRYB13: I've checked our system and your site is pointing perfectly. And all your pages are updating as expected with the full address. Perhaps the changes you made finally kicked in but it all looks good from what I can see."
I see the updating URL's everywhere but on my own computer. Any ideas to why this is happening? It's not a big deal if the updating URL's are seen everywhere else but I curious.
Hello
Following on from information on Friday, is there still a problem with domain names, as www.firstholycommunionday.co.uk is still not loading, when click on a link from search engines unable to visit the site and I am still having to edit the site viawww.firstholycommunionday.webeden.co.uk.
I have had customers calling unable to visit the site. Please advise
Hello
Have now managed to link to the site via google
Thanks
Hi DJRYB13, I've done a lookup on your domain and it has 2 IPs listing, which I've never seem before. I would check with your domain provider, because I no longer think it is pointing correctly. You may see this on some computers and not others, because it takes a while for the IP address to update on different PCs. So it is either transitioning to being right, or transitioning to being wrong. Only your domain name provider will be able to tell you. Thanks, Joe
Hi Joe and all,
Things are getting desparate now, as I'm being leant on by the cricket club to update their site as there are a lot of upcoming events and meetings etc.
To summarise:
I can now log in to the cricket club site, but when I edit it, it will not save the page, and will not edit another page.. the pages will not load.
On the photabulous site the same thing, but additionally I cannot edit at all as the downlading edit tools box fails to entirely load.
I cannot log in via the account page on the moonfruit site as it will not load properly. It logs inat the top left corner but the text below My account fails to load. I cannot access the moonfruit forum either.
Day 9 tomorrow.. I really need a solution guys.. I know you're trying hard!
Bernadette
This may be pure coincedence, but Pete above who has exactly the same probs as I do, lives in the same area as myself.. I could access a couple of pages of his site and then the pages would not load even though I cleared the cache.
Is the area and ISP causing problems?
Hi Bernadette, yes that is quite possible. This does look like a cache issue, but it may be that it is a proxy cache being held by an ISP (e.g. they are caching the files, which are now out of date, hence do not work). This is why clearing your cache doesn't fix it, as the problem is further up the chain. It's interesting that you and Pete are in the same area, do you share the same ISP? Thanks, Joe
Hi Joe,
I sent Pete an email eventually when I could access part of his site, but even that has come back as delayed. I believe we do have the same ISP, but would like Pete to confirm if he sees this message.
I tried to edit the cricket club site today and the edit box with font et is blank and again I cannot save it and view my site is frozen.
This proxy cache. What can I do about it?
Cheers - Bernadette
Yes we both use BT Broadband, But just to reply to one of the other comments from before, I am still having the same problem as all the other people, that is when I do manage to get on the site and log in I can not change and save the changes and it just logs me out or does not stop loading....I do not have any problem with any other sites apart from mine and moonfruit site.
Please Help as we are loosing business.
Pete
Hi Pete, we released a fix this afternoon that should sort out some of the logging in issues, but I still believe that you and Bernadette are suffering from something else.
In anycase, please try logging in and see if it works. Again you may want to clear your cache and/or delete cookies. Let us know how it goes. Thanks, Joe
Hi Joe,
Well..... I have managed to edit and save one page of the cricket club site tonight.. what a relief! However, when I saved the changes of this 1st page and tried to edit another page the page was blank and would not load. I managed to do this on the moonfruit.com domain name. .co.uk and .com will not load at all.
I still can't get the account page on moonfruit to load entirely.. I always get the egg timer logo! I can't access the photabulous site from the cricket club website under the account tab at the top of the edit bar. Again it is blank and will not load... but some progress is better than none at all... will let you know if any further improvement.
Thanks for your help and your colleagues help in this matter.. I hope we are turning a corner in sorting it out!
Bernadette
Scotch my comments above.. its all back to frozen pages and pages that will not edit this morning. although it did log me in but the edit box is back to blank again...Please can someone sort this out asap as its now Day 10... like Pete I can access every site except Monnfruit sites which fail to load.
Bernadette
Hi Bernadette, can you contact support though a service ticket as we need to be in direct communication with you to resolve this. We'll want to do some analysis of how your machine is set up to try and pin-point the problem. Walt or Andy should be in touch. Thanks,
Joe
Hi There,
I can't trace a response to my query of several days ago! Here it is again:
Don't know if this is a coincidence or if other MF users are having the same problem; but I have found that since the Updating page URLs and bookmarking upgrade, sometimes when working on a page and we click 'save' the Firefox browser just freezes up and we have to re-boot the PC to get it back again.
This doesn't seem to be a problem in IE browsers, but we are rather fond of Firefox and tend to use that for a whole number of reasons.
When this happens, it would appear that the save is actually completed on most occasions, but it is a real drag having to reboot so often.
Could you look into this for us please?
Regards,
Tippa
Ps: The 'remember me' facility doesn't work for me even though I have taken previous advice via a ticket re: clearing cache & PC settings etc. Many of our visitors have also mentioned this.
Hi Tippa, can you submit a query to support so we can gather more information about your system (mention your post in the lounge too). That way we should be able to idenity, reproduce and fix the problem. Thanks,
Joe
Hi Joe,
I've just submitted a support ticket.
Look forward to further news.
Tippa
Hi support. I'm having some issues mass emailing my members. I personnally receive a copy of the email, as a member and sitemaker owner... But many members are reporting that they aren't receiving their emails. This is an urgent matter as we are supplying time sensitive information. Also I should mention that I am using the Groups option, and I am trying to email an individual group, full of members. I noticed that when I send an individual email to a specific member, from my member list by click that little white enveloppe, they are receiving the email. Please help, this seems to be a problem only with Group mailing, or maybe even send to all. I'm not sure exactly. Could you check it out for me? Thanks in advance. Also, small tiny additional problem, I am unable to delete an old group I created. I assumed this was due to it being linked to members and it being linked to an old forum, which I had authorized this particular group to view.. so I deleted all links. removed all members from that group. remove the permissions linked to that group. and I am still unable to delete it. Thank you very much if you could help address these issues. I can't stress how urgent the email issue is. I'm distributing time sensitive emails, which NEED to be delivered. meanwhile I have to send SMS signals to members free of charge (at my cost). oh.. there's a though, partnership with clickatell.com and intergrate and SMS option. where you can email and sms members :) Anyway, this message is becoming a novel :) let's publish it :D
Hi MTLFOREX, this request is probably best submitted as a support ticket as there may be some to-ing and fro-ing to get it sorted. Thanks, Joe
"as there may be some to-ing and fro-ing to get it sorted". What does that mean? Also we submitted a ticket already Joe. Awaiting your reply. Thanks
I just mean that we'll probably have to ask lots of questions and exchange many messages. That's all. Thanks, Joe
thanks for the updates all looking grand I wonder is there a image or something for "go back page" I have things all on 1 page but if you leave the page then you loose it I wonder do you have a go back sign to page or sign or something not sure if this is the correct area to put this on here sorry
For the forums, would it be possible to have features which will allow us to remove the "login" button so we can have it free for all guests to post?
Plus, would there be any updates done on the News and Products Page? Cuz I think they both need a makeover.
I applaud your work and responding to all the questions here.
Hi Shane, guests can already post on the forum if you set the permissions to that on the setup tab. The login button is just there it integrate it with existing members.
Thanks, Joe
Are anyone else having issues with Web Sites closing down when you click View Site after an update?
Its happening on Firefox
It can't be a coincidence that since 8th Feb my average bouce rate has reduced from 38% to 3%. Nice work moonfruit!
I was curious why after 3 months has the one letter spelling mistake not been corrected on the mf website lol . have contacted support 3 times and they have said every month that they will sort it out lol - it was just funny that i was asked to appear on the mf suppliers page but the name was spelt wrong. Just dont look professional on my part to have the wrong site name on there lol and its now three months later now since i first raised the typo lol - Come on joe get the magic wand out (nooo not that wand! lol)...
dino
flintTstone web design .... not flinstone web design lol
Great news with the page title improvements. Will it be possible to insert h1, h2, h3..... heading (tags) elements anytime soon?
Hi James, yes it will be. It should be in the next release. Thanks, Joe
Hi Joe,
When can we expect an upgrade of these wigdets: News blog, calender and directory?
Thanks!
Hi Joe - i heard a rumour that you will be bringing out a new shopping cart that allows better functionality in Q2
Is this true and what will it do?
Thanks
Gee
Hi
Have you any plans to make available a messaging service for websites that set up as a group of community?
Brett
Is their like, A DJ thing for Moonfruit or anything. Its just that Im a DJ online and i reacon it would be cool if Moonfruit had like a radio Thing for adding to our sites.
Please Reply with Information on that.
Thanks
-Jared
Hi AtlasLions, these widgets have taken a back seat for the moment while we concentrate on more pressing needs such as new e-commerce tools, domain name integration (due out very soon), and a new File Manager also due out soon. We also have quite a few ideas on the board for the next 3-6 months. But you never know...
Gee, yes we will be producing a better set of e-commerce tools, which will include an improved shopping cart. What will it do, well that's still to be decided by the team, but you can bet it will provide more features than our current offering. We provide a few more details soon.
Hi Brett, no we don't have any plans for a messaging service as we figure MSN, Yahoo, Google et al do a pretty good job already. The closest we have is the chat widget which will allow real time conversations while online, which is used by quite a few of our users.
Baddevil22, sadly we don't have a radio widget. We may consider it in the future but for the moment we have quite a lot of projects already planned. You could always add it to our Wishlist section on the Forum. We review the comments on this periodically and then discuss the ideas amongst the team.
Regards,
Walt
