RESOLVED: Service Outage 20:57 GMT 05 Jan 2010
DETAIL: Our database server has required an emergency restart
RESPONSE: We are currently restarting all dependent services
UPDATED 21:47 GMT: Services have been returned
UPDATED 10:17 GMT 06 Jan 2010: Our apologies for this very unexpected outage. All website data is safe and all services were returned to normal in 50 minutes.
We were due to upgrade the software licences on our database layer which should have happened automatically. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication with our database vendor that caused our database layer to shut down. After emergency discussion with our vendor the issue was resolved.
This is a unique event and will not happen again. We can only apologise for the inconvenience caused by this downtime.

still can not access moonfruit home page is this going to be fixed soon?
I'm not convinced that everything's been resolved because forum threads on our site seem to be randomly jumbled (posts attached to completely wrong threads).
I cannot accept any new members in my members section. The people tab keeps crashing.
I get a " RSL error 1 of 4" error # 2046.
Im not sure if this is related to the down time, the error occured just before moonfruit went down.
I sent a support ticket as well as posting here on the blog.
Please advise.
i still luv ya, but i need to make changes and cannot log in to the moonfruit site. hope this gets resolved.

Hi,
We know about Emrys' problem would you (r33 and Karen) mind checking your sites again, and clearing your cache if necessary.
Thanks
Walt
My website will not load!
It was fine around the th of Jan, but has not come back up since, nor the moonfruit.com site, is the service still down?
Hi Liam,
No, the outage lasted 50 minutes. So if you are having problems it will be something else entirely.
Have you tried accessing your site from another location? Have you tried clearing your browser's cache and reloading the browser? We have no problem viewing your site: http://liamalucien.moonfruit.com/
You might be better contacting support and letting them know what you tried, what you see (or don't see) exactly, who your ISP is, and any other relevant details you think may help.
Thanks - Walt
Hello,
I believe you are still having issues. Despite the website loading correctly occasionally, some features are failing to reload properly when editing websites. It loads without full editing features for example. I think their still may be a capacity issue possibly. I doubt I am the only user seeing this partially restored service.
Otherwise when it's working very happy with your moonfruit service!
Hi lwe,
No we aren't suffering any problems. I've checked with our Sys Admin and all servers are running 100%, no errors reported, and our network is in good shape.
If you have further details please let us know.
Thanks - Walt
I can't login to my website account. Doesn't seem to be working on any computer now. Really need to get some changes done. help
Hi Liam, I've sent a reset password email (to your live.co.uk address) just in case that's what you meant i.e. user/pass don't work. If that's not what you meant can you provide more details on what you mean by doesn't work on any computer.
Thx
Walt

Have sent moonfruit email but have yet to have a reply,, need to make rgent changes to the site.
I hope this issue gets resolved quickly.
Thank you.
Hi Peter, we've sent a reset password email to your email address. As long as you use the correct username: peterhunt83. Can you tell us also, how you are logging in i.e. via Moonfruit.com or via your site?
Your account and site are fine by the way so you shouldn't have any issues logging in with the right details.
